Sooz is a Royal Academy of Music graduate and award-winning stand-up comic (Funny Women Variety Award 2012, Musical Comedy Awards Best Newcomer 2010). She has written and performed six solo hours at the Edinburgh Fringe and played Theresa May and David Cameron in Jonny Woo’s All-Star Brexit Cabaret at the English National Opera in 2018. She was also one of Comedy Central’s Picks of the Edinburgh Fringe 2018. Sooz hasn't missed an episode of Eastenders since 1994.
Brilliantly wry and award winning comic Chris Stokes has supported Milton Jones, Pete Firman and Stewart Francis on tour, appeared on Dave’s One Night Stand (Channel Dave), BBC Radio 4, 5Live, BBC Three and Radio X and taken five critically acclaimed solo shows to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. With a hilarious and erudite turn of phrase, Stokes has been described as playing on social misconceptions and dismantling them both on stage and on the page via gag-packed first-hand anecdotes told with a charming and offbeat sincerity.
In addition to stand-up, Chris has written for the The News Quiz, The Now Show and Have I Got News For You and co-hosts new podcast with Masud Milas and Sooz Kempner – ‘Mystery on the Rocks’
