SAMANTHA BAINES: Work In Progress

Award-winning comedian Samantha Baines (The Crown, Sunny D, BBC Radio 4) returns to Edinburgh after a smash-hit, sell-out run in 2016. This year she's exploring the lost women of science. Expect facts, puns and an ear trumpet attached to a whiskey bottle. It's science meets funny.

'One of the ones to watch’ - Evening Standard

'Very funny’ - BeyondTheJoke

'One of the punniest comedians in the land' -Metro

'One of the best comedians on the circuit’ - ComedyCoroner

PATRICK TURPIN: Work In Progress

Turpy - as seen on Climaxed (BBC3) and Pop Sludge (4Music) - returns with a stand-up show/hour of performance art/arse flapping gently in the wind, that rodgers the system quite firmly in the poo-poo place. Turpy talks clothes, life as a full-time sissy, being a gorgeous lil' hetero-boring man in 2017, and (as always) love and romance.

"A gifted comedic voice" (Skinny)

"A comic on the crest of a wave" (Fest)

"Intriguingly clever" (The List)
