Basement Galley: Underground Dining
London's original "Underground dining" experience, Basement Galley will be hosting an intimate group of diners for a supper club in one of London's unique and exclusive venues, a historic, decommissioned 1967 Victoria Line tube carriage.
Head Chef Alex Cooper is a graduate of the Le Cordon Bleu School, Paris, training under some of France’s top chefs, including Maitre d’Ouvrier de France, Chef Nicolas Bernadé. During his studies Alex worked at the AA-Rosette winning Rufflets Hotel as well as setting up a catering company, AJ’s. Most recently Alex was invited to work at two Michelin Star "Sketch" on Conduit Street, London.
Catering for your beverage needs, we are now working in partnership with Shottails (www.shottails.co.uk), Shoreditch's cutting edge pop-up bar staffed by some of the city's hottest mixologists. We will be offering a carefully selected menu of wines, cocktails and soft drinks on the night.
Is there a dress code?
We want you to feel comfortable. Some people like to dress up a bit but others choose the t-shirt and jeans options. We just want you to enjoy your evening!
Is this a BYOB event?

Will I be sitting next to people I know?
We will always seat people who book together close to each other. However we also want you to meet new people, so be prepared for sitting next to the odd stranger as well: we have found time and time again that guest who get to know fellow diners in this way get the most out of the evening!
Do you cater for special dietary requirements?
Yes, we do!
We want as many people to enjoy our food as possible. In the booking form you will be asked for each guest's name and specific dietary requirements. Please note: unless we know in advance about any dietary needs we may not be able to provide on the night as cooking and storage facilities are very limited at the venue.
