Sunday MASS -ive brings together stylised readings of iconic choral works to commemorate the centenary of the 1918 flu pandemic. The flu arrived in Samoa in Nov 1918 upon the SS Talune. Mass graves were dug out and Samoa traditional burial rites were abandoned.
Sunday MASSive is for those victims.
The dreams of Gerontious, Elgar and the Verdi and Brahms Requiems. will be performed by world class Pacific Island soloists and a vocal ensemble assembled especially for Sunday MASSive.
