Can olives and gravy ever be mixed? Can a child recover from wearing home-knitted clothes? The story of a northern girl bringing up three middle-class children in this very funny, warm hearted, lively hour.
Nicola Houghton: It's All Gravy
Sunday 11 August
Having faced a great deal of classism in life, “It’s All Gravy” tells the story of finding yourself in middle-class London having grown up on the gravy-soaked cobbles of Radcliffe, an old mill town near Manchester, surviving thanks to home knitted t-shirts, raffle prizes and treasures found in the canal. Added into the mix, Nicola now also has three Londoner middle-class children who love olives. Can she ever fit in or will she get found out?
“Brilliant set from a very watchable storyteller, pulls you into her world and pummels you with punchlines” Humdingers Comedy
“After two minutes with Nicola Houghton, you realise she’s just like the funny best mate we’ve all got, except she’s funnier” Carpet Martin, Riverside Radio
