After making the mistake of looking up how many eggs she has left (8% of what she was born with, thanks for asking), Jenny decided she wanted a baby and she wanted one soon. Unfortunately her long-term boyfriend had other ideas.

Back in the dating game after nearly a decade, Jenny is finding things aren’t as easy as she thought. In Eggtime, the ‘UK’s much anticipated one-white-woman answer to Hamilton’ - (her words, absolutely no one else’s) - Jenny explores, through a mixture of stand up, songs and sass, what it means to find yourself as a childless woman in your 30s. She’ll tackle modern gender politics, love, sex and the fear of dying alone (lols), whilst contemplating some of life’s bigger questions; how many chicken nuggets is too many? How soon on a first date can one reasonably bring up baby names (Queenie if it’s a girl, Rex if it’s a boy)? And how can she want a baby so much, yet still find herself taking the morning after pill on Mothers Day?

An award winning musical comedian, writer and actress, Jenny first gained a following on YouTube by writing, directing and performing in a series of topical parody music videos. In 2013, Jenny started performing live solo material and after entering the Musical Comedy Awards went on to win Best Newcomer after just 3 live gigs. In 2015 she was named Observer’s Rising Star of Comedy and this year she won the BAFTA Rocliffe New Writing Comedy Award for her pilot script, ‘Baby’.

She has written and starred in her own musical sketch pilot, ‘Jenny Bede: AAA’ for BBC Comedy. You might have seen her in numerous other shows including: ‘Lovesick’ (Netflix), ‘Bliss’ (Sky), ‘Stan Lee’s Lucky Man’ (Sky) ‘Episodes’ (BBC2), ‘Josh’ (BBC3), ‘Crackanory’ (Dave) ‘Murder in Successville’ (BBC3), ’Watson & Oliver’ (BBC2), BAFTA award- winning ‘Misfits’ (E4) and ‘Broadchurch’ (ITV). Jenny also works extensively in radio, regularly performing in Newsjack and other comedies for Radio 2 and Radio 4.
