SUCCUBUS NOVEMBER ISSUE

Satirical women’s magazine Succubus presents a selection of their absolute favourite comedy performers for a night of new, new(ish) and too-weird-for-other-comedy-nights material.

Expect surreal stories, gratuitous props, smutty puns, shameless over-sharing, the odd musical number, and some stuff that'll have you saying, "I mean it didn't really work, but by god did she give it a go!!"

FEATURING SUCCUBABES:

SHELF
Double-act consisting of the consistently brilliant Rachel Watkeys Dowie and Rachel Clyde. Founders of The LOL word, a queer comedy collective whose monthly gig YOU MUST GO TO!

"Honest, relatable and, most importantly, jam-packed with lols" - DIVA magazine

SARAH MANN
A finalist in this year's BBC New Comedian competition, Sarah's storytelling is more than worthy of the endless award noms she's been wracking up recently.

Oh, and she plays the trombone. What a legend.

SIÂN DOCKSEY
Siân’s most recent Edinburgh show included singing lobsters, communal sex parties and was premised on a lie she told her mum. We LOVE her and so will you.

“Energetic, playful and silly” - The Skinny.

JEN WAKEFIELD
We’re surprised we managed to book Jen because she’s so bloody BUSY. Hosting The Comeback on BBC Radio 1, filming sketches for BBC3 and of course appearing in C4’s BRILLIANT Riot Girls. This woman is all over my Iplayer right now!

“A bright talent with a proud heritage” - List

SIKISA BOSTWICK - BARNES (AKA TWIX)
Hosting comedy nights, writing Edinburgh shows, nabbing award nominations, performing stand-up AND burlesque, all while working a day job as an immigration solicitor for a women’s non-profit. Yeah, Sikisa (aka. Twix) almost definitely works harder than you do, and she does it while being very, very funny.

"Exudes a lively energy" - Chortle

and cover girl HEIDI REGAN
Winner of So You Think Your Funny 2016 AND the BBC New Comedy Award 2017, we are super chuffed to have Heidi on our bill! Her Edinburgh debut “Heidi vs Sharks” revolutionised the field of shark film and international trade deal based comedy. If you were unfortunate enough to miss it’s Edinburgh run, catch it at the Soho Theatre next year. It’s SO GOOD!

"Heidi Regan’s performance excels far beyond her comedic years" - Edinburgh Festivals Magazine

Hosted by Succubus editor Kat Sadler and absolute babe Billie Cooper.

£5 to reserve a ticket, or free on the door!

Succubus is a satirical online women’s magazine that uses humour to challenge the way media, society and men communicate with women. We’re here to promote the funniest comedy writers and performers from the UK and beyond.

"Consistently hilarious" (Mike Scully, The Simpsons)

“holds my innermost thoughts at gunpoint” - Alec Sulkin (Family Guy)

“Wonderful” - Laugh Out London
