Ahir Shah: Dots and I, Tom Mayhew
Two Works in Progress, One After the Delightful Other
Ahir Shah: Dots
Nominated for Best Show at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards in 2017 and 2018, Ahir Shah returns to the Fringe with a new hour of funny and good stand-up. Shah's most recent show, Duffer, was performed to packed houses and critical acclaim at last year's Edinburgh Fringe, followed by a sold-out run in London's West End, and a UK and international tour. Now he's written another one. Fingers crossed, eh? As seen on Live at the Apollo and The Mash Report. 'A blazing talent firing on all cylinders' ***** (Telegraph). 'Magnificent' ***** (List). **** (Times).
I, Tom Mayhew
Tom Mayhew was unemployed for 3 years from the age of 18. This is a story of rejections, the JobCentre, being working-class, and fighting for your place in the world. With lots of jokes. Tom won The Comedy Store's King Gong in 2016, was a finalist for the Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year 2017, and reached the BBC New Comedy Award Semi-Finals in 2018, broadcast on BBC Radio 4 Extra. He has performed comedy for BBC Radio 1, and written for Newsjack (BBC Radio 4 Extra). "His content is from the heart....spellbinding, raw and telling. He is a genuine joy to watch." - Kate Copstick
